Key topics at recent RAGFL Annual
Mayors Breakfast
AGFL members
received valuable one-
on-one time with their
city leaders at RAGFL's
8th Annual Meet Your Mayors
Breakfast. The Friday, May 29th
event, held at the Westin Cypress
Creek in Fort Lauderdale, was
another RAGFL hit with over 150
RAGFL members, guests and con-
cerned citizens in attendance.
About two dozen Broward County
cities were represented by their city
leaders. Participants were also greeted
by special guest, FL House Demo-
cratic Leader Franklin Sands who
addressed the group for several min-
utes. The forum-style venue gave of-
ficials the opportunity to discuss new
and current South Florida issues as
well as field questions from
audience members on the
issues of most concern to
them. Association members
engaged in a valuable discourse
with the local representatives for
over two hours on a variety of issues
including the quality of local schools,
property tax reform, budgetary poli-
cies and pensions.
"This eventrunning 8 years
strongwas another priceless oppor-
tunity for our members and interested
citizens to come together to discuss
the issues that affect the people of
South Florida," said RAGFL CEO
Richard W. Barkett. "RAGFL has
been and will continue to remain fully
committed to giving our members
valuable and significant opportunities
to remain engaged in the property tax
reform debate and any other issues
which affect the Realtor
®
community."
We thank everyone in attendance,
especially our city officials. We would
also like to extend a gracious thank
