The Florida Homebuyer Opportu-
nity Program (FL HOP)--created
during the 2009 regular legisla-
tive session--provides $30 million
in financial assistance to first time
homebuyers eligible to receive
the federal first time homebuyer
tax credit
established
through the
American
Recovery and
Reinvestment
Act of 2009.

south Florida's rate of foreclosures
and increase the amount of home
sales was recognized by the NAR
through the awarding of a $9,000
grant. NAR's Foreclosure Preven-
tion and Response (FPR) Program
helps local associations taking the

respond to their adverse affects.

RAGFL Awarded Grant
NAR recognizes foreclosure prevention efforts
the July 30th Housing Symposium,
which enabled our members and the
general public to learn more about
the first time home buyer tax credit,
funds available to help tax credit
recipients utilize those funds at the
closing table, Neighborhood Stabili-
zation Program (NSP) funds avail-
able for the rehabbing and purchase
of foreclosures, and other available
federal, state and local programs.
